This story is mine and only mine,I created every character while borrowing or being inspired names from final fanytasy games,The Card battle concept was not gotten from kingdom hearts chain of memoeries,and NO batlles are turn based or anything,This is my first story so...R&R thanks.
The Cards
PROLOUGE
A long time ago… before history was being recorded, and the world began to evolve, It was not barren as you may think…It was instead a world different than the one we live in now. In fact
it was something we now find in fantasy books and video games, It was a never ending war between the ones with the good cause and the ones with the bad. Magic and physical techniques were the main way to fight, weaponry and other items could be used in battle as well. An even stranger fact is that everything was preserved inside cards, that's right, cards. The cardboard rectangles you now play games with. Back then cards were the most important Items ever.
There were a few types, there were the cards that contained a human's soul, which could be just as important as the person itself, for example: A Human card is stolen and ripped in half, the human that the card is linked to…is also ripped in half. It was a very important thing to take good care of your cards in this time. Or at least don't bend it to much…
Then we have the item cards, these held basically everything else, fruits, vegetables, knifes, swords, money, hats, pants-Just everything else. If a person were to hold the card they could simply materialize the item on the card.
And finally, the cards that no one owned except the gods. These cards had power that couldn't be used in battle or in life, they were virtually worthless alone, but together they had a power. If these cards were brought together then the whole entire set of cards around the world would be brought to the spot of the ten special cards. All of those cards in front of you would be like having a voodoo doll of every human on earth.
So that is basically the whole thing about how the past was, and now let me tell you why I told you what you just learned, there were three heroes. Gabriel, Vincent, And Sabel. Gabriel was the heroic and strong member of this group. Vincent was the mysterious and quiet one. And Sabel was the only female of the group. All three of these Heroes quested to fulfill the legend that depicted the world as a happy place. A world of peace, that could only be obtained by the blood sweat and tears of these Heors They wanted to change the world for the better. To do so, they would have to gather the 10 special cards and bring to one spot, an alter in the far eastern islands of the planet. There a special god would appear and make them engage in a fight, if they won this challenge, they could finally have a chance to change the world, They succeeded In doing so, but to their surprise they were given a choice.
"If you wish I can hide these cards in a certain spot or I can banish them forever." The God said as his voice crackled.
"What an easy decision, Let's destroy the-" Vincent was cut off.
"No, think about it, if we leave these here then we can Allow everyone in the future to give us the credibility we deserve." The whole crew just smiled and let the cards stay on the earth, without the knowledge that the time they just recently lived could now be provoked again. It was a mistake…they should have destroyed the cards, but arrogance took over. And without the knowledge to overcome that arrogance, chaos had one more door to enter the world again, the key was our 'other' three heroes.
