Never Far Away
A short sonfic/poem written in dedication of Tidus and Yuna's love. It's basically Yuna reflecting on what has just happened after the end of the game.
Everybody told me, it would be okay.
How did I ever let you get away?
So many things I don't know,
But the only thing I know is true,
You're gone, you're far away.
Staring in the distance, I see a tiny star,
I don't know why it matters, or how it shines so far.
Is it you? Or is it just my wishful thinking?
How much my heartaches,
And how I tried to reach you,
But I was too late.
The way your arms embraced me, and kept me from falling,
But I failed to do the same for you,
And now you're gone, you're far away.
If you were here now, wouldn't I be happy?
But I know you'd want me to go on.
Will I ever feel the love you gave me?
Will anyone love me like you?
All I know is no one can ever be you,
Because you're gone, you're far away.
