Disclaimer: I don't own Psychonauts. Simple as pie, really.

As a black Jeep Liberty drove across the graveled roads to the famous Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp, a girl of about 15 years glanced out the back seat window with a look of disgust at the forest-like environment outside.
She hated the country.
Not like I have a choice, she thought as she glanced at the driver, her father. He looked like a verytough man, which in fact he was. He kept his black hair slicked back in a low ponytail and wore a white tank top that showed off his ripped muscles. He also wore black pants.
He looked no more than 27, which in fact he wasn't.
He was only 12 when she was born. It was obvious she was an accident child, but such things weren't unusual in her father's country of Mexico. But her mother...
No, she wouldn't think of her mother. She couldn't. It just made things worse.
The girl sighed before opening her window a bit and pulling out a pack of Marlboro cigarettes, lighting one before taking a nice long drag. Nowadays, it was the only thing that relaxed her.
" I thought I told you, Raven, no cigarettes in the car. I don't want any damn ash all over the leather. "
" Whatever. " She closed her eyes and her cigarette caught fire almost instantly before she flicked it out the window and shut it," Happy now? "
Raven's father sighed in irritation as Raven prepared for the onslaught of obsenities that were sure to come.
And boy did they come. Any normal person would have their ears bleeding by now, but she was used to her father's ways.
She was just thankful to have the summer away from him, and the horrible memories.

" So, she's really coming to Whispering Rock? "
" Yes. "
" It's nice to have a new student enrolling here. It'll make things much more exciting, i'm sure. "
Ford Cruller couldn't help but be skeptical about the whole thing. He knew it was just Milla's style to be optomistic about everyone, but even she had to have heard the awful rumors.
Even if they were just rumors, Ford couldn't help but believe that this Raven girl was in fact, the Pyro Prodigy.

How was it for my first Psychonaut story chapter? Sorry it was short, but sometimes good chapters end up being short, you know?
I still have yet to finish the actual game, since i'm stuck in Boyd's mind. I don't have enough Arrowheads to buy the Cobweb Duster, and I can't figure out how to use the Dowsing Rod. It's really ticking me off.
Please review. Some helpful game hints would be nice, too. Thanks.
