"Daddy, Daddy please don't leave!"
A little girl the age of five slouched on the floor a sobbing mess as she
watched her father walk away from her.
Her blue eyes filled with tears and her auburn red hair stuck to the
sides of her bright red face.
"I have to go Nicole. It's for your own safety. But promise me one
thing." His back was still facing her as he turned his head the slightest
to look at her. "Never cover the symbol on your back... It's too
beautiful to be covered. Don't be ashamed of it, be proud of it. Protect
your mother for me okay?"
"But Daddy why do you have to go?"
"Nicole promise me!"
"But-"
"PROMISE ME!"
"Okay." she sobbed. "I promise."
"Goodbye Nicole." Then he walked away.
"NO! DADDY COME BACK!" PLEASE!" she screamed.
"PLEASE!"
But he was gone. And Nicole had a painful four years ahead of her.
