Authors note (A/N): i don't own Transformers but Heartbeat is MY character
"Optimus a life signal has shown that it's 10 klicks from the city. And it seems to be unidentified." Ratchet said looking at the monitors. " Understood old friend." The prime replied. "Autobots roll out." Prime ordered. As Team Prime entered the ground bridge vertex , little did they know what was on the other side of the vertex.
When the team exited the vortex in their sights they saw a cybertronian ship. "Optimus are you at the coordinates ?" ratchet asked. "Yes we are ,we will take a look at the origin of the ship optimus replied." When the team got closer they realized it was of autobot origin. Arcee walked to the door and saw that it was ajar. "Hello any bot there?" she asked. A voice answered "Help me!" It said weakly.
When the team saw the autobot stuck under a fallen console they were surprised to see it was a mech.
But not any mech.
The mech looked identical to Ratchet. "Thank you." He said as he looked around the team. "If I may ask ,What is your name? " Optimus asked kindly. "Oh I forgot to introduce myself ,my name is Heartbeat , I'm a medic just like my sire." Heartbeat explained. "It's good to meet you Heartbeat. " Arcee , Bulkhead and Bumblebee said in unison.
"So, what are you doing here on earth?" Bulkhead asked. "Well you see, I've been bouncing from planet to planet in hopes of finding my sire and reunite with him at last. I have a strong feeling he's on this planet. " Heartbeat said.
"He is." Optimus replied. Bulkhead ,Bee and Arcee nodded in agreement.
"Ratchet,open the ground bridge please." Prime said into his commlink. "Of course Prime" Ratchet replied.
When the ground bridge closed there were not four signals… but five. "Good to see you Optimus" Ratchet said as he walked up to the team. "Good to see you too old friend." The Prime replied. As the team dispersed to see their charges, one bot remained and when Ratchet saw him he couldn't believe his optics.
"Hi sire" Heartbeat said sheepishly. His sire walked up to him. "By the Allspark, it can't be!" Ratchet said surprised to see his long lost son alive.
"It's me sire ,it really is me." Heartbeat said as he gave a hug to his "old man."
"But ,but how?" Ratchet asked confused.
"Simple I got into one of the escape pods before the untimely demise of our planet Cybertron." Heartbeat explained.
"All this time I thought you were one with the Allspark, it's good to have you back Heartbeat. " Ratchet said as he embraced another hug from his sparkling.
"I think I speak for us all when I say , Welcome to the team, Team Prime. Heartbeat." Optimus said as he looked at Heartbeat "Here,here! " The team cheered happy to have another member join their ranks.
