Chapter 7 of my stalker should be up within 24 hours. This was done late at night and under the influence of Coca Cola. Reviews are chocolate chip cookie love!
"I'm sorry."
Sorry. He hated that word. He hated it so much. Sorry was for little boys and girls, for spilt drinks and for crossing that line after one too many at the pub. Sorry was not for this.
"You know I never wanted to hurt you..."
That was just as bad. Does anyone ever plan to hurt anyone? Does anyone ever kiss or make out or even have sex with other people, just to hurt someone? If the answer was yes, Perry didn't want to meet that person. Ever.
"It was just an accident."
An accident. Ghandi once said kisses 'don't just happen'. Drunken accident, sober accident, high accident or clean accident. Accidents are tripping over or hitting your head or forgetting your homework. Accidents belong locked in primary school, along with sorrys.
"It won't happen
again."
That was the last straw, the last one. His heart had
been shaken and burnt and bashed about, but with that it just gave
up. Like shards of glass flying from a glass, it broke and left scars
on every inch of his body. Every inch hurt, it ached. The miniscule
cuts on the inside dripped blood that was nothing more than a
reminder of what used to be, of what was. Of what was long since
gone.
"Kisses don't just
happen."
"They can."
"No!" He yelled, suddenly angry again. "No, JD, they don't. Kisses happen when some stupid idiot forgets his boyfriend's birthday! And when the idiot walks two miles to town because his boyfriend took the car to the club with him. And then when he finally gets his boyfriend something, he walks in to find him...to find him..." he collapsed, all the ranting gone. "To find him with her."
He said her like it was bad. Even worse than sorry. And that was all he could really say. Her. Her with the straight blonde hair and the satin skin and the slim figure. Her who no one wanted and yet everyone did.
"So how
long?"
"What?"
"How long have you been
seeing her?"
"I haven't! It was an accident."
"An
accidental makeout."
"No...well, yeh..."
"Kind of like our accidental relationship. What am I? Am I the mistake?"
"NO! Look, you know
there's chemistry between me and Elliot."
"Chemistry? Of
course there's chemistry! You're young and she's young and I'm just
the sad old man that time forgot. No, that YOU forgot."
"Perry,
you don't understand-"
"I understand fine. Look, just go
JD. Just go." He rolled over on the couch, and buried his face
in a pillow as he heard the man walk out, with one last whisper.
"Sorry..."
He
hates that word.
