A/N: So, this is only my 2nd fanfic ever and although it isn't as important as the 1st, it still is going to be my excuse for anything…not so great. Reviews would be awesome and appreciated!

Summary: Basically a little introspection on what Parker and Piz think after breaking up with Veronica and Logan, something along those lines. It's kind of AU (is that the term?) as some of this didn't happen in the show. Italics are thoughts. POV is third person whatever it is called (basically I know everything POV).

Spoilers: Umm, don't think there are any, but all seasons to be safe.

Disclaimer: Really? Haha

Knowing

Parker didn't know. Oh, she knew that they had something special before she came into the fold, but she didn't know how deep that love was. She didn't think much of it. She knew that is how everyone feels after a breakup. Right? So, she took a chance and jumped. She didn't know how cold the water would be. She saw it all the time: Logan discreetly glancing towards Veronica if she happened to be in the same room as them. It didn't matter that she was sitting right next to him or that she was his girlfriend now. All he could think about was her. Parker could see it in his eyes. This faraway look, as if he was lost in memories. She knew what those memories were of and they didn't include her. So, she did the only thing to stop this pain, for both their sakes. But, as she walked out his door for the last time, all she felt was a burning in her stomach. Was this the right move? What if Logan was the one? She knew it was a bit silly to believe in the one, the only person for you, but she couldn't help it. And as she walked out of the Neptune Grand, all she had was one burning question.

Piz knew. He knew from the very first moment he saw her that whatever would happen between them, if something happened between them, that it would end badly. He knew from the very first moment he saw Logan that he had no chance and that point only became more and more emphasized. But, he couldn't help himself. He couldn't stop falling for her. So when opportunity came knocking', he took a shot. What a poor shot it was. He saw it every day, the casual glances thrown Logan's way if he happened to be near. And Logan was quick to give Veronica the same courtesy. It didn't matter that Piz was sitting right next to Veronica or that her fingers were interlaced with his. He knew it was hopeless and the only thing he had to ask was…why did he try? He had no answer and with that, he promptly did the only thing he could in that situation. But, as he left the Mars's apartment, he could see the confused and surprised look on Veronica's face. What hurt more was her look of pain. He could feel a slow burn in his stomach. All he had was a lingering doubt.

Piz knew he made the right decision. It couldn't have been more obvious as he sat their in the cafeteria. He could see them. They were sitting alone at a table, chairs practically touching. Logan's arm was slung across the back of her chair while his lips were busy doing something else. Veronica was on her laptop, trying in vain to finish an assignment. She had a small smile playing on her face. Piz could see it clearly and he knew that smile, only because he saw it so often when she was around Logan. He knew he made the right choice. He saw Parker and gave a slight wave to her.

Parker knew she made the right decision. As she walked into the cafeteria, she saw them. It seemed like they were in their own world. In fact, it seemed like their own personal heaven. And just like that, that one burning question left her mind. She knew she made the right choice. She saw Piz and waved at him. Maybe I'll sit with him today.
