Itachi was happy. Obito came back! Finally someone who appreciated him.
He, an ANBU outranked Obito a chuunin but he didn't care. They were busy fawning over little Sasuke.
He hated his family, it was always pride for the clan. Obito was an outcast but Itachi believed that he was a hero.
Itachi loved it when Obi-nee came back he always had a story to share over a plate of dango. Pink dango, green dango Obito loved them all. But he always shared it was Itachi.
Itachi wanted to show Obi-nee his Sharingan. His pride, he's sure that Obito will be proud of him. Eight and with the Sharingan.
Stupid Sasuke getting all the attention over being the best in his class. Heck when he was in the academy. He was the best in his whole school, but only Obito cared about it. Father was only pretending, it was only for the glory of the clan.
He felt like a puppet, dangling on strings. Bing played with the Uchiha clan. That image was rather funny to imagine. The eight year old laughed.
It was afternoon when Obito came walking in. With a smile on his face. Itachi cannot wait to show him.
They went to eat dango. Itachi was practically bouncing with joy; Obito saw it and ruffled his hair. He really was happy but then looked at Obito's face.
"Are you okay?"
Obito was so, so tired of being the shame of the clan. He would do anything to make his family proud.
"I guess I'm a little embarrassed about not being able to use the Sharingan," Obito said, grinning sheepishly.
"It's okay, you're probably a late bloomer. The buds near the memorial tree had a few late blossoms. But their the prettiest!"
Obito had to smile. "You sure know a lot for an eight year old. Good for you"
Itachi felt like he could float with happiness.
But then Obito had to die
The only one who cared about Itachi the human being. Not the puppet prodigy.
He tried being an older brother, kind and caring. But watchful, it was his responsibility to take care of Sasuke.
But it was hard. Sasuke WANTED to be the best, and would stop at nothing to get it. He tried his best to earn father's approval. That idiot!
He shut everyone else away. Obito's sensei became the Hokage. That traitor! Didn't he care about the remaining members?
Kakashi joined the ANBU. He was always trying to smile, trying to act nice for he felt regret. It was all his fault Itachi reasoned, if he saved Rin then it would never had happened.
If Yondaime didn't make Kaka-fucking-shi the leader, then Obi-nee would never have had to save baka-Rin.
What made it worst is the fucking-clan didn't give a damn! They were actually happy that the outcast died. They invited Kakashi for lunch!
At that moment Itachi snapped. He would doom the Uchiha clan to hell.
Many years later, Kisame and Itachi sat at the dango parlor in Konaha.
"I never figured that you liked dango" Kisame said.
"Well," Itachi said with the ghost of a smirk "It's a tribute to a friend; I had a long time ago"
