THE ACADEMY
Alice Academy, a school for talented students is located in Tokyo, Japan. The size of the school grounds resembles the dimensions of a sprawling estate. The grounds are enough to contain three levels of education (elementary, junior high, senior high) along with a Hospital, the Main Building, the Hall, the library, and the Central Town.
The classrooms are located between the main building and the hall, which is a square-shaped. The number of books in the library is over 50,000, which is a fairly large number for a high school library.
SCHOOL SYSTEM
Alice Academy possesses an elevator system, meaning that provided one passes the exam at every level, students may move up the academic ladder from primary school to university.
The curriculum at Alice Academy allows students to choose their own subjects. Subjects are divided into "specialized" and "generalist" subjects in which, through the specialized subjects, students can expand their knowledge for a career in specialist related fields. It is up to the student to take specialized or generalist subjects.
In preparation of a multi-cultural society, Alice Academy has arranged the study abroad program. This allows students first-hand experience with overseas students from the four sister schools Alice Academy has around the world. Many find this a valuable experience and also find possible career paths through this rare experience.
When traveling to and from school, students must walk or make use of the bus or train. If, however, a parent or guardian is present, private transport methods can be arranged.
CLOTHING
Students of the generalist department wear black. Depending on their gender, they wear white pants or skirts. The specialized department is almost the exact opposite. They wear cream blazers and white pants or skirts.
To identify which year a student originates from, each year has been given a certain "color" on their pin—a special pin from school, Alice Academy symbol. Those of the first year wear red, those of the second year wear blue and the third years wear black.
