Coversation Hearts
a/n: I got this idea while I was eating candy hearts this morning.
Alice stood next to the food table, eating a sugary, soft, white-frosted cookie, watching everyone dance.
Jasper watched her from across the room. He saw Rosalie and Bella walk over to her, finally detaching themselves from Emmett and Edward.
he couldn't hear what they were saying, but Alice smiled. He could tell she was uncomfortable though. They probably asked her to dance with them.
By the way she waved her hand at them before they left, Jasper knew she told them to dance without her.
Jasper went over to Alice when Rosalie and Bella left. She watched as he picked up a cookie, chocolate chip, his favorite, and practically shoved the whole thing in his mouth. She was trying to hold back her laughter but he shoved two more cookies into his mouth and she burst out laughing.
"Hut?" Jasper asked, trying to say "what" and failing.
Alice laughed harder, which made Jasper laugh with her.
When they finished laughing and eating cookies Jasper reached into the back pocket of his black dress pants and brought out a pink box of conversation hearts.
Alice frowned in confusion. "Wha-" she tried to ask, but Jasper held up his finger to silence her. He managed to open the little box with one hand, He took out a blue heart and gave it to her.
She took it, still confused, and read it. It said, 'Dance With Me' in faded red letters.
She smiled, and he smiled, and they walked out onto the dance floor.
After two hours of dancing, they walked back to the food table and ate mini cupcakes with blue frosting and rainbow sprinkles. Then Jasper took the small rectangular box back out from his pocket and handed it to Alice. She took an orange heart out, looked at, and gave it to Jasper.
He looked puzzled. Alice giggled and said, "Read it."
Jasper read it. It said 'Let's kiss'.
So they did.
