She was alone, all alone in the room he gave her to stay. She was fair and understandably hidden away from the world. For her beauty was too much for him to let her loose and explore the world. She was a prisoner of his and had been so since she was 11. She wished that everything could be different and that she could be a prisoner no more. But he was too powerful for her to fight him and gain her freedom. Though her world was a prison she learned to cope and soon became accustomed to it.
Her keeper was power hungry and though he was genius he was not sane. Madness had taken over his body, his brain, his very way of life. He used to be a good man, a kind man but he grew too powerful when he took in this orphan girl.
But as inevitable as it all may have seem, a man walked into the prison in which this orphan teenager had been. Her keeper had seen this coming and he had always feared the event, the time she would fall in love. The man in who had come had yet to find the child that was being held captive and her keeper liked it that way. He kept her far away from the man. She could not understand why he was doing this but it did not matter to her. Nothing did anymore. She was alone and she had to face the world being a captive for the rest of her life.
One day when her keeper vanished, the man had found her and instantly fell in love. She did too soon after. Almost immediately after the man had left her side, her keeper returned and asked what she had been doing. She said nothing. She had kept her meeting secret for she knew her keeper's anger would be wrathful. The secret was kept more than once. Every time her keeper left, the man would come. This went on for about a few months but her keeper got wise for she was happier than she had been before.
Her keeper left the room one day only to come back and stay in the shadows. Sure enough the man came. When her keeper saw this he grew angry and jumped out of the shadows. Both were frightened but the man stood tall and pulled out his sword in defense. The orphan girl's keeper pulled out his and the two fought for the girl and her freedom. This girl was stunned that the man she loved and her keeper were fighting over her and yet she was flattered that she was so wanted by everyone. Her keeper had him beat as the man lay on the ground. She was scared and began to cry. But as her keeper raised his sword ready to strike, he saw her crying ever so silently. He stopped and lowered his sword.
"Go," said her keeper, "Go! Before I change my mind."
The man stood up, grabbed her hand and ran off out of her prison. Her keeper wept in the shadows and remained there.
The girl did marry the man but became unhappy with him. He treated her badly. He hit her and made her cry everyday that she was with him. She eventually got away and went back to her keeper. Her keeper was happy to see her. He promised to protect her forever and always. She lived out the remainder of her life in the prison shadows with her keeper.
