Okay all, I just thought that I would make an attempt at a 'Life with Derek' fanfic. This is going to be a one-shot that I just came up with randomly. The idea was just floating around in my head and I was like 'hey, I think it's good, maybe other people will like it too'. So here it is. My more than like sad attempt.
Summary- This was her. Take it or leave it. But what if she could change who she was. Even for one tiny second. To be freer. To cross that well known line between good and bad. To not be perfect; to be like 'him'.
Disclaimer- I don't own anything that has to do with Life with Derek. And it's probably a good thing I don't, otherwise there would be a lot of step-sibling love going on. He he.
She wouldn't, no, couldn't do it. It wasn't possible.
It could never be.
Yet her body yearned for it.
Her heart pleaded for it to be.
It was her mind that held her back, told her it was wrong, that it couldn't be.
'Why?', she would find herself questioning.
'Why does she yearn for this?'
'Why does she crave for this, long for it?'
'Why can't she give in?'
Damn the consequences, damn all those who would think badly about her decisions.
But then her mind comes into play. Reminding her of what could happen, would happen if she just gave in.
Everything that she would be giving up for that one shameless moment.
She cursed herself for her natural logical standpoint. But how could it not overrule everything else. She was Casey MacDonald, grade grubber, klutzilla. It was who she was. Though she longed to be different, wild.
Like him.
He was wild, adventurous, crazy.
He pushed the limits.
He crossed that oh so dangerous line. Something she would never dare to do.
He grabbed life by it's proverbially horns.
So, why couldn't she be like that?
Why did she have to strive for perfection?
Perfect clothes, perfect grades, perfect hair, and teeth and nails. The list could go on and on.
Perfect, perfect, perfect. Who was she, Martia Brady?
Well no more. She was gonna take the pluge; go wild.
Be less perfect, be like him.
And what better way than this.
"Can I get a Big Mac with a coke, please?" Oh, yes. She was Casey Macdonald, and she was bad.
"Coming right up ma'am."
"Wait!", she gasped, "Make that a diet." Okay, so it was gonna take some time.
He he, Well I thought it was funny. I don't know about you. I've got kind of a wierd sense of humor. I'm the kind to just crack up at any joke, even if it's not funny. Bah, whatever. I just thought I would give it a shot. Tell me if you think I should never try comedy ever again. Flames are welcome. They make me laugh!
Read, Relax, and Review!
