A/N: Just a fluffy one shot. That's all. Super cute and fluffy.

Clary slowly pulled the sketchbook from her knees, holding it up to examine a new sketch of a dream last night. It was a picture of a tall boy and a short girl in a room much like the ones in the institute, like the one she was in. They were holding hands and were very close.

It almost looks like…me…and Jace? she thought. But she didn't have time to think of another afterthought before someone knocked on her door. She lazily got up from the bed and walked over to the door, pulling it open all the way.

Jace. Of course it was Jace. When was it not Jace? "What's up?" Clary mentally slapped herself. What's up!? More like what's the matter with you!? Jace sighed. "Can I come in?"

Clary raised her eyebrow. "Sure?" she stepped off to the side and Jace stepped in. He sat down on the edge of the bed and noticed the sketchbook. He slowly lifted it up, smiling a little at the picture.

Wait…smiling?! Clary nervously closed the door and awkwardly walked over. "Jace, are you okay?" was all she could ask. He stood up abruptly and cupped her face in his hands. They were warm and soft in a way, like a kind soul's hands. She blinked slowly before staring at him eye to eye.

"Clary…" he took a deep breath. "…I love you." Clary held back her laugh. "What? What's this about? Of course I know this. I have always loved you." Jace slowly removed his hands and pulled her into a tight hug. His heart fluttered almost fearfully against her own chest. She could feel his breath on her neck, his scent filling the air around her.

"Jace? Are you okay?" the question seemed to bother him. "I'm scared." Her breath hitched. "Scared of what?" she continued to pursue. "I'm scared…with all these battles…you might get hurt. And I couldn't ever stand to loose you."

Clary felt her head skip a beat. She pulled him away from the embrace and brought his forehead down to hers. She giggled softly. "Since when do you worry. It's not very Jace-like." He smiled.

Within a second, he was kissing her. It was a soft, gentle, almost pleading kiss, both of them moving their lips in unison and lingering on. He pulled back first. The way he looked at her was like he was sad, or vulnerable in a way his eyes didn't spell out anything but sorrowful happiness.

Clary's hands entwined with his instinctively and she pulled them very close. "Don't worry. I'll always be here. I won't be leaving you." He closed his eyes. She smiled as she saw her drawing out of the corner of her eye.

"I love you, Jace."

"I love you too, Clary."

A/N: Aww! I think I'm going to cry about my feels. Anyway, just a little fluffy fic. Hope you enjoyed.~*
