Schmoop Bingo Prompt: Wedding

Yuna rubbed her eyes as she heard the bells chiming from the temple. Slowly, she pulled aside her blankets and slip out of her cot. She slipped off her night gown and into her summoner clothes. Quickly, she made herself presentable. It was a big day after all.

She pokes out of her head out of her home. She watched people move back and forward. Some had flowers in their hands and some had food. Despite Wakaka and Lulu wanting a small wedding, it looked liked that wasn't going to happen. She smiled softly as she remembered what Rikiku said that they were the big heroes against Sin. So, big heroes equaled big party.

Now that she thought about it…it did make some sort of sense.

"Yunie! Good morning!" Rikku shouted.

She stepped out her tent and smiled at her cousin.

"Morning."

"Don't tell me that you are going to wear that!"

She looked down at her outfit.

"What is wrong with my outfit?"

"YUNIE! It is a special day! When I get back, I am going to get you into something awesome!"

She winced slightly as she remembered the last time that Rikku picked out of her clothes. Interesting doesn't even cover it.

"I am not sure…"

"It will be awesome!"

"RIKKU!"

She turned around to see a man waving at her. Rikku waved back.

"COMING!" Rikku shouted back before she dashed off.

She shook her head as she watched her friend disappear. She debated if she should go and help the others. She glanced over at the temple at all of those people. She had an impression that she would just get in the way. Her eyes drifted toward the beach. Maybe, she could find Wakka or someone else. Her feet started toward the beach. She hummed to herself as she passed people. She waved or said good morning to everyone that she passed. Finally, she made it to the beach. She stood for a moment to take it all in. For reason, it made her heart ache. He loved the ocean. He would take to any body of water like a fish. If she closed her eyes, she could still see his smile and his laughter ringing in her ears.

He would make her laugh and make her forget about the wedding.

It was just….they should be here. Aaron and Tidus…they should be here too. They should be here too. It made her chest tightened up. It wasn't fair.

"Yuna?"

She turned around to see Lulu standing before her.

"Lulu! Aren't you supposed to be getting ready for the wedding?"

She smiled slightly.

"Soon enough…I wanted to see how you were doing."

"I am fine…why do you say that?"

Lulu just tilted her head. Sometimes, it was really annoying that she could read her so well.

"I know that you are thinking about him."

She sighed softly.

"I was."

"I know that you miss him. I miss him as well. He would have kept Wakka sane at least." Lulu said as she moved beside her.

She giggled.

"That bad, huh?"

"You have no idea."

She looked down at her hands and started picking at her nails. She felt her body started to shake with some nervous energy. She hasn't felt this nervous in a long time. She almost wanted to run down the beach and scream. She won't…She is different now.

"I believe that they are watching…."

"Yes."

"I believe that Tidus would be making fun of Wakka."

She giggled softly.

"Yes and Sir Aaron might be laughing too."

Lulu smiled slightly.

"I can imagine he would."

Silence fell between them. In the distance, she could hear the bells chiming and the waves crashing into the shore. The nervous energy slowly disappeared from her body.

They may not be here anymore.

But they were watching.

She just knew it.
