When did this all start? Why did this happen? How could things be this way? These questions currently remained unanswered, as the young Malfoy still tried his hardest to grasp the concept that his arch-enemy was the person who understood him the most. He sighed softly as he tried to figure this out. "Things are different now, very different… Potter… Why do you of all people have to understand?" He pondered to himself as he looked around the room, his gaze dancing over the familiar surroundings of his friends sleeping away, his favorite posters tacked to the wall, and his hogwarts uniform all laid out for the morn. Yet he was unable to fully take notice of the imagery because he was trying to rid his mind of the thoughts that told him things are changing. "The world as I know it has gone mad." Draco mumbled to himself, as he ran his trembling fingers through his disheveled platinum blonde locks; his grey eyes were dimmed from lack of sleep. "Things may be going crazy, but Harry is the one who can help me from the path my family has taken."
This hour, this minute, this second; all time felt like it had slowed down as his mind tried to catch up with the events of the past few hours. The question though was where to start, as it seemed that even Potter was trying his hardest to fully comprehend the situation. He sat in the Gryffindor common room with his two friends, who were trying to help him understand what was wrong. He slowly turned his head from the roaring fire that was lit in the hearth, his ears finally started to focus on the conversation at hand. "Okay mate, let's just slow down and take this one event at a time." Ron did his best to pick his words carefully, as he knew what his friend was capable of. Harry turned to look at Ron, his bright green eyes flashed a message that said it's not that easy. Hermione sighed and shook her head at him. "Ron, you dingbat! He obviously can't, otherwise he wouldn't be so frazzled." The ginger pouted at the brunette sitting next to him. "Still we need to get him to calm the bloody hell down!" Harry sighed gently, as his friends argued like they were an old married couple. "You two aren't helping." He hissed at them almost feeling tempted to summon a snake to sic on them. They both looked at their confused friend, and apologized for having made the moment worse. "It's alright you two just please no getting into fights right now." They both nodded their agreement, and figured it was best to let him calm down before they sorted this out.
After what was hours, and much talking; things had finally reached an understanding. All the events of that day had been sorted out... Now the only question that both Harry and Draco had left was 'What do I do now that I not only understand him, but have realized my feelings for him?' Both male wizards had asked themselves; quickly both knew what the answer was, as if a flash of lightening had struck. 'I talk to him and ask him out.' Each knew in their mind it was the option they wanted, yet also needed as they would be far alone without the other; Harry being the braver wizard knew it was his task to make the first move.
