"Hiwatari ..." he heard. He looked down at the girl beside him.
"Busujima? Shouldn't you be getting ready to go to that boarding school?" he said with a hand on his hip.
"Oh! Um ... yes, but ... There's ... something I need to ... tell you," she replied with hesitation. The redhead tilted his head.
"Yeah? What is it? Sakimori might want to be leaving soon, so you shouldn't make him wait."
The former alchemist warrior took off her gas mask and beckoned him to lean down closer. He did so as she leaned closer to him and kissed him on the cheek.
Hiwatari blushed as he turned his head to look at the blonde. She was blushing as well, and smiled at him.
The redhead stood there, stunned, as she hurried off with Sakimori. She turned her head and smiled at him again.
Hiwatari knew that he would never forget that smile.
