hey all. here's my first Inuyasha song fic! hope you enjoy. OH and I dont own Inuyasha or the song Missing from Evanescence.
Kagome couldn't believe her ears. She had died. She didn't know how or when or where but she had unknowingly sacrificed herself for her mate and children's safety. She wanted to go back to him and her son Inutiasho, wanted to tell him that everything would be fine, but she couldn't. She wanted to tell him so many things but couldn't. She could only pray that the gods would resurrect her and her lover, her mate, Sesshomaru.
She watched now as her son slept and smiled as her mate worked in his study keeping an ear alert for her son's cries. Floating down in her ghost form she gently rocked the crib so she did not alert her mate, gently singing to her son.
"Please, please forgive me, You won't cry for my absence, I know -
but I won't be home again.
Maybe someday you'll look up,
And, barely conscious, you'll say to no one:
"Isn't something missing?"
You forgot me long ago.
Am I that unimportant...?
Am I so insignificant...?
Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me?" She gently sang allowing a single ghostly tear fall down her pale transparent face. As she continued to comfort her sleeping son and herself with this simple sad song.
"Even though I'm the sacrifice, Please, please forgive me,
You won't try for me, not now.
Though I'd die to know you love me,
I'm all alone.
Isn't someone missing me?
But I won't be home again.
I know what you do to yourself,
I breathe deep and cry out,
"Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me?" She silently stood walking toward the door, just as she was about to walk through it she heard her sons small voice say one of the only two words he knew.
"mommy?" his voice called discreetly catching her faint scent.
"its okay baby mommy's here" she whispered to him allowing another tear to fall as she made her was toward the study her mate resided in. She needed him say her name once more and singing was the only way she could get through to them.
"Even though I'm the sacrifice,
You won't try for me, not now.
Though I'd die to know you love me,
I'm all alone.
Isn't someone missing me?
And if I bleed, I'll bleed,
Knowing you don't care.
And if I sleep just to dream of you

Isn't something..." she sang softly to him making him look up he breathed deeply and looked around.
"Kagome?" he asked softly.
"Even though I'm the sacrifice,
You won't try for me, not now.
Though I'd die to know you love me,
I'm all alone.
Isn't someone missing me?" She sang softly into his ear allowing a tear to fall on his hand.
"I love you Kagome you wont be alone forever wait for me love and I'll wait for you," he whispered almost knowing she could hear him. "I know I and Inutiasho miss you with all our soul"
"I will wait my love, and I'll be here every night and day till you return to my arms" with that Kagome disappeared for the night leaving her mate to comfort her now crying 18 month old son.
