Forde looked at his bedroom.

It had been his bedroom for the last 20-odd years. He had slept in that house for as long as he knew himself as a person. He had lived in there with his family, which had slowly dwindled into being just him and his brother Franz.

And now Franz had brought that girl to Renais and she had been living in there. He knew the two liked another and probably were going to start a family together. He liked that girl, and he liked that his brother had found happiness.

Now it was time for Franz's role model to go out there and find his happiness.

The bedroom had been emptied and all of his stuff tucked in the back of a wagon. He left a few paintings for Franz, including the portrait of his mother and a more recent one of Franz and Amelia. Forde picked up his backpack and headed to the wagon.

"Who'd think that even after we head out to marry we'd still be together, huh?" Forde smiled to the green-haired man waiting by the wagon.

"Many people, to be fair." Kyle was surprisingly relaxed for this trip. Maybe it was the idea of being together with Syrene that relaxed the man. It was good for the man. He was too tense all the time.

"Heh. Let's go, they'll be waiting for us." The red knight entered the wagon and the driver led the two men outside of their country of origin and into Frelia.

Forde opened his notebook in a blank page, picked up a piece of charcoal and started sketching a portrait from memory. A smile flourished on his face as he drew that sketch.

The portrait of his loved one. A green-haired, young Pegasus Knight who brought alongside herself the energy of a summer wind. A person who made him feel better than anything else in this world.

Vanessa.
