Prologue –

Akhos decided to finish off Nia. She prepared to be grabbed by death's icky hand. There was a flash of black and Akhos took a step back in pain. A hooded figure stood by Nia, holding what seemed like a double edged blade. He took off his cloak. In its place stood a boy who looked no taller than Nia, with blond hair an angry look. Akhos stood there in shock. "Who are you?". The boy opened his eyes. "I'm pissed off! And you're going to regret it!"

Chapter 1: Prison Break

"What?" said the boy. It was 3:00 am and Torigoth soldiers were at the door.

The boys name was Asano, and he was standing in front of a girl named Nia. "That girl behind you is wanted for canniblism. Now get out of the way!" the soldiers yelled.

"Nia! You and Dromarch get out the back door!" The soldiers wouldn't allow it. "Seize them!" the commander said. But Asano was ready, and drew a double sided blade. Nia stood there with a look of shock. "NO! I won't leave you here!"

Asano looked back with frustration but somehow sadness at the same time. "GO! I won't let them take you. Now GO!" Nia started to get tears in her golden eyes. "My lady! We must hurry!" Dromarch exclaimed. Nia looked to the window, thinking about whether or not it was a good decision. "I'll come back for you! I swear!" And with that, she was gone, her cat in tow. "Dammit! She got away! You mister, are under arrest!"

Two days later, Asano was in Mor Ardain's harshest prison, awaiting execution. He sat on his stone bed, thinking. He may be doomed, but at least Nia was alive.

That was all that mattered to him. The soldier standing guard unlocked his cell and opened it. "Hey, kid. The Special Inquisitor wants to see you." Asano looked up in dissapointment. "Please. If by see me, you mean she wants to torture me until I tell them where my friend is. And if I die... well, dirt on the pile then. It's all a means to an end, isn't it? Well you shitheads aren't getting a word out of me once I step in that room." And the soldier led him to Special Inquisitor Mòrag's office.

Mòrag sat in her chair awaiting the prisoner, her Blade, Brighid by her side. "That kid seemed a bit protective of his friend, don't you think, Brighid?" Mòrag asked.

Brighid seemed a bit puzzled, but answered the question anyway. "A bit is an understatement, but yes, I see your point." Just then, the door opened and the boy stands there, with blood on his hand. Mòrag immediately rises out of her seat. "What did you do?! Answer me!"

Asano looks at her with satisfaction. "Relax, relax. All I did was give my escort a broken nose. Though I must say, torturing you is SO much fun. Consider it payback." Mòrag sits back down with a strange look on her face. "What are you talking about?" Asano grins. "You're torturing me by keeping me from my friend." Mòrag almost forgets why this boy is here in the first place.

"That's exactly why you are here. Where is she?" Asano has a look that an officer would give a five year old. "Alright. I'll just explain." Mòrag is once again confused by Asano's choice of words. "Explain what?"

"You see, that prison had a ether barrier that prevented me from doing anything. But I'm out now." Mòrag realized the mistake she made. "Buh-bye." The room went black for a moment, then light was restored and Asano was gone.

Mòrag had then ordered the entirety of the guard that was already patrolling to spread out to the other Titans and find him. "You sure this is a good idea, Lady Mòrag?" Brighid asked her Driver. Mòrag shot her a look that practically burned a hole in Brighid's head.

"That kid is going to regret the day he screwed with the Special Inquisitor."

Asano found himself in Torigoth. Again. But he was standing on top of a wall overlooking a path were a boy in a blue salvager outfit, a redheaded girl with a green Core Crystal, a big cat and... NIA?! How frickin' coincedental this was.

Asano was just about to say somthing when they were surrounded by imperial troopers.

"Oh shit."
