A Full moon glowed over the small neighborhood, Only about ten houses stood next to each other and a large cement wall encased it all.
A young boy and girl walked lose to one another as they strolled down the dirt road. The boy looked abut 16 with Bright blue eyes, he was tan with a smile plastered on his face. The young girl of similar age smiled up at him, she had darker skin and green eyes that met his.
"Thank ya kindly for letting me take yer out" Keith said. He was named after his fathers best friend, Keith, whom was still talked of about by his Dad.
Emerald smiled up at him "There's no need to thank me, Thank yo for taking me." She said.
They stopped in front of a white house. Emerald gave Him a quick hug and reached for the handle before He took a hold of her hand and swung her around. She stared at him their faces only inches apart. Their eyes fluttered closed and they leaned in and-
"What in the HELL are you doing?" A voice boomed behind them.
Both teenagers jumped and spun around to witness a fuming Nick.
"H-Hey Dad.., Whats up?" Emerald managed stammer out. Nicks eyes flicked down to their intertwined hands which they immediately pulled apart and held behind their backs.
"Whats up? What's up? A son of a hick was bout to kiss my daughter, Who I might mention said she had no inuterest in boys a couple years ago! And might I remind you of-"
"Nick, Whats going on? What are you yelling about?" Emerald relaxed a little at the voice of her mother. She'd take the situation a little better She thought bitterly.
Rochelle appeared behind Nick a hand on his shoulder, Hey eyes flicked between Keith and Emerald taking in the close space between them, The embarrassment on their faces and the angry nick before realization hit her.
She smiled at them before looking at nick "And what made you want to wake the neighbors with that voice of yours?" She asked teasingly.
Nick didn't soften though "This Hick was trying to Cop-a-Feel n our Daughter."He exclaimed pointing an accusing finger at Keith.
"I-I wasn't trying Nuttin' with your daughter sir, I was just uh..." He mumbled on scratching the back of his neck.
"You weore just Nothing,and You young lady hat are you thinking about I thought we taught you better when We get insi-" Nick was interrupted once again but this time it was Keith who side stepped in front of emerald.
"Now I wasn't Trying to Do anything inappropriate, Nicholas" Nick rraised his eyebrows at his full name. "-But I was just trying to kiss her goodnight and if that's wrong than so is two plus two equalin' four" Keith puffed out his chest and stared down Nick, Regardless of being shorter than him.
Nick stared down at him intensely, Emerald held her breath and expected the worst.
Then Nick laughed heartily and clapped him on the back causing both Emerald and Keith to look at him bewildered.
"I gotta say kid you got some balls saying that so Imma let you go but just remember.."
Nick bent down and whispered darkly in his ear "if I ever catch you trying to kiss my daughter again I will not hesitate to tke you down."
Keith gulped and nodded his head. Rochelle smiled at him and walked back inside with nick following.
Emerald looked at him admiringly beore kissing his cheeknd walking inside after her parents. Keith stood there for a few seconds before turning and making his way Back to his own home.
