AUTHORS NOTE: Something I wrote because it's Kristin's Birthday

Kristin awoke to find her dog, Maddie, curled up at the end of her bed. Her blonde curls were a mess, and her make up smeared across her pillow. Happy Birthday! She thought sarcastically. However, something caught her eye. A red heart pinned to her bed room door. She walked over to read what had been written on the front.

Happy Birthday My Gorgeous Glinda!

Meet Me Where We Worked!

Lots Of Love

Your Elphie,

Smiling, she threw on her favourite Tee and jeans, before tying her hair into a pony tail. She hadn't seen much of Idina since she began working on If/Then, but she could guess why she wanted to see her.

Arriving at the Gershwin, Kristin smiled at the thousands of memories she had with her best friend, and how much had happened since then. However, her smile reversed when she failed to see Idina anywhere. Assuming she was inside, she walked towards the door, to find another red heart there.

Because I knew you...

I have been changed

For Good

Meet me where we competed!

Competed? Kristin was baffled. Sure, they had argued, but it had never been competition. She began to wander the streets of New York, till the Radio City Music Hall hit the corner of her eyes. The Tony Awards. 2004 brought back fabulous memories, and now Kristin was desperate to see Idina. However her plans were thwarted by the sight of another heart.

Kristin Chenoweth

You are the grace and light of my life

Meet me and Maddie back at home

A wild goose chase. Typical Dee. She thought. Begrudgingly, she walked back home.

Unlocking her door, she noticed her apartment lights had all been switched off, proving Idina had made it home before her. As she walked in, she heard shuffling, before two hands covered her eyes. "Surprise." Idina whispered in her ears, before leading her into the dining room. She uncovered her eyes, showing her the cake she had had made for her. A small sponge cake, delicately iced with interlacing pink and green hearts on a white background. "Happy Birthday!" Kristin smiled at the sight before her, before turning to face Idina. "Where's my present then?" She asked with a fake pout. Idina laughed, before putting her hand in her jeans pocked, and pulling out a small box. "Kristin Chenoweth. You are beautiful. You are smart. You are loved by everyone that meets you, and I feel as though I have loved you all my life. I know we have only been dating little over a year, but..." Idina dropped to one knee, opeing the box. Inside, a small ring, white gold, with pink and green diamonds and one heart shaped diamond in the middle. "Will you marry me?" Kristin began to shake and tears began to fall. "Yes! Yes you stupid idiot yes!" She threw her arms around the younger woman, before allowing the ring to be placed on her left hand. "I love you, bubbles." Idina said, smiling through her tears of happiness. "I love you too, Artichoke."
