Alternate Ending to The Hunger Games!
DO NOT READ IF YOU LIKE KATNISS! Just saying. This also does not happen, it only happens in my messed up Hunger Games World, where everything is A/U. Rue is OOC, I know. Flame. I really enjoy getting them!
This takes place while Katniss is looking for Rue in Chapter Seventeen.
"Katniss!" I hear someone yell, "Katniss! Help!"
Rue. Is someone attacking her? Is she going against all three of the remaining Careers?
I sprint to where the sound is coming from, loading my bow.
"Katniss!" I hear Rue scream again.
"Rue! I'm coming!" I reply, entering a clearing. "Rue, what's wrong?" I ask, because she's just standing in the middle of the clearing, her hands behind her back, a small grin on her face.
"Nothing, I just wanted you to come quickly," she replies.
I nod, dropping the bow. That is when her grin widens. She pulls her hands out from behind her back. "I have to do this Katniss. To save my family. To keep them from starving."
That is when I notice the knife in her hand.
She brings her arm over her shoulder, and the next thing I know, is the knife is flying at me. At my throat. "Why?" I whisper as I fall to the ground, but no sound comes out. The wound the knife has left is cutting off my breathing, I know I'm going to die. I hear my cannon sound. Rue. The twelve year old. My ally. She has murdered me.

RUE POV!
I look over to Katniss' family. There's a girl, with blonde hair, and blue eyes. Prim. I remember Katniss mentioned her. There's also a women, who looks like her daughter.
"I'm sorry, I killed your daughter, who was my ally," I say to the family. "But, at least I was the one who won!"
Her family starts crying. "Don't worry, she was a great person! Don't cry! She died for a good reason!"
Seeder, my mentor coughs. Probably trying to get me to shut up. But this was my thank-you speech!
"Katniss was scary though. She was strong. She probably would have won too, if I wasn't there," I grin. "She was a great person. I miss her, but I'm not sorry!"
