Ode to Symmetry
by Talia Windwalker
Death the Kid's symmetry would be unimpaired
If it weren't for the three white stripes in his hair
Whenever he tried to dye them away
They'd pop right back up, insistent to stay
His symmetrical handguns, Patty and Liz
Are perfecting to handle Shinigami biz
So Kidd-kun decided to join Shibusen school
To him didn't apply many a rule
At school he met Soul Eater and Black Star
Both scythe and assassin seemed quite bizarre
After fighting them both, he won by a long-shot
But breaking the rules, the three of them got caught
Later, Medusa created a plan
To wipe out Maka and the whole clan
With amazing, invincible, steel-hard blood
And Stein had to save them from all of that crud
However that wasn't at all the end
For Medusa still had much terror to send
To infiltrate Shibusen as a nurse
She inflicted on them a terrible curse
If only Kid could see Crona's hair
He'd shiver and drop to the ground in despair
Crona and Maka became quite good friends
But to Crona's hair were made no amends
Now when it comes to an asymmetrical fight
Death the Kid sickens at the horrible sight
But when the enemy is perfectly square
He simply stops to stand and stare
Kidd-kun has an amazing wave-length
And with it he has powerful strength
The three white stripes on his head
Will lengthen and make his wave-length spread
With awesome symmetry and Death the Kid
Maka, Black Star, Stein and Sid
All the weapons can save the day
They'll kill the kishin and Arachne
But whatever you do, make sure that it's even
Because symmetry is what Kidd-kun believes in
Even when Patty drives into a boat
Or practices the pose that Kid promotes
When all the clouds line up with the sun
Death the Kid has buckets of fun
Even though Excalibur calls him a fool
Everyone knows he's really quite cool
Kid and symmetry go hand in hand
His weapons' lives will never be bland
When he grovels, begging "please, please!"
To pluck Liz's eyebrows, down on his knees
Someday symmetry shall surely rule
Just as perfect as Shibusen school
And Death the Kid will be happy as pie
As he watches the symmetrical days go by
A/N: Well, this was a failure. Although I have pretty good rhymes, the whole thing jumped about here and there like it didn't have a point. And it was thirteen stanzas long! I wanted it to be eight, since that we appropriate for more than one reason, but it didn't turn out that way. And I would have to cut out five stanzas to do that. Five stanzas is a lot of work! I didn't want to take that much out... so, I apologize, Death the Kid, for the asymmetrical poem.
Also, the thing about Crona's hair: the moment I saw her, I thought "Death the Kid would go nuts if he saw her hair!" And thus, I added it to the poem.
I hoped you enjoyed it, anyway.
