Sex Ed at Hogwarts

Chapter 1
"So that is how babies are made" finishes Snape awkwardly. "Weasley, I would suggest you stop sniggering as that is exactly how you came to life" he snaps. Ron shuts up straight away going red like a tomato. "Now can we have all the boys to go back to their common rooms and can all the girls please stay in this room" Only the girls, Proffesor McGonagall and Proffesor Snape are left in the room. All the girls awkwardly gape at Snape wondering if he will leave. "Oh, Severus I think the girls would be more comfortable if you left the room" Informs Minerva as she takes out diagrams, pads and tampons. "I was just leaving" mutters Snape as he stares at the pads and tampons as if he never saw them before. As Snape leaves Minerva says "I think we would all be more comfortable if there was only girls here" then she winks and chuckles. "So some of you may have started your menstrul cycle or period already and some of you may have not" she starts. "Most girls start their period between the ages of 8 and 15. When you get your period it just means that you are able to get pregnant, although l would suggest not having sex yet due to the risk of teenage pregnancy." Minerva warns. "Menustration is the monthly shedding of the lining of a female's uterus.lt lasts about 3-5 days and contains blood and tissue that exits through her vagina." Everyone starts to get a bit uncomfortable. "You may experience cramps or pain in your lower stomach but this is perfectly normal. To stop blood from going on your clothes you may use these. There are other methods but these are the most common. This is a pad and this is a tampon. Their absorbancy varies so I would suggest for your first period use one of the lightest absorbent pads. If you leave tampons in for too long there is a risk that you can get a disease called Toxic Shock Syndrome. This may be vital. So I would suggest using pads until you get used to having periods." She takes out another box, this time it is much bigger. "I have a book for you all where you can read furthermore about periods." She hands out a small book to each girl. They put it into their bags. "Now, does anyone have any questions?" Hermione shoots up her hand. "Yes Miss Granger?" "What...what if I don't have any…um…pads? She asks quietly. "Oh yes, I forgot! If you have need any supplies you may go to me or any other teacher. Your head of house is a good person to go to. We will be happy to help!" Hermione looks relieved. "Also if you start your period I would suggest not keeping it to yourself and tell a teacher. If you have any questions, that you don't want to say now, feel free to ask me after this class. Our next class will be this time next week and we will be discussing how to use pads and tampons. Dismissed. Minerva packs away all the boxes and as Slytherin girl walks up to her. "Eh…Proffesor, If I um…y'know…start my um…period…do we have to ask professor…Snape for…supplies?" Minerva put her hand on the Slytherins girls shoulder. "Of course I understand why you would feel a bit…uncomfortable. If you do not want to go to professor Snape then I would suggest to go to Madam Pomfrey or myself. Although of course Snape has been given supplies if someone in Slytherin wishes to ask him. "Ok thank you proffesor."
