AN: Just something cute and short to pass the time :)
Flirting
She met him at the shopping mall.
The sunglass counter, to be exact.
She was buying, he was only trying.
He saw her; sunlight from the skylight dancing off her hair.
She saw him and the sparkle in his green eyes.
She continued browsing, while he tried to get her attention.
She giggled as he put on the purple pair of wing-tipped glasses.
His heart secretly melted.
Minutes passed, she lost interest.
He boldly walked over and asked for her advice.
She eagerly agreed.
He tried on several.
She liked them all.
He asked which was best.
She shyly picked the mirrored ones.
He asked her why.
She said he was handsome; she fumbled.
She said the glasses looked handsome.
She was blushing.
She paid for her pair.
He was behind her in line; her hair smelled like strawberries.
He was next.
The phone rang, the clerk answered it.
She walked away.
He watched her go.
He didn't buy the glasses.

He saw her again the very next day.
She was in line for a movie ticket.
It was cold, she had on mittens.
He had on a scarf.
She asked for theatre number two.
Her voice was like a song.
He followed her in.
He sat where he could see her.
She was chewing gum.
The movie was funny.
He saw her body shake with laughter.
The movie turned sad; he heard her sobs.
It was over, she was leaving.
He left on the opposite side of the theatre.
They came face to face.
He opened the door.
Recognition in tear-stained eyes.
She smiled.
His heart flew away.
He followed it, and her, outside.
She got into her car.
He turned away.

He saw her routinely quite often.
She worked in the music store.
He knew her wardrobe.
Today was Tuesday; she would wear blue.
He stayed and browsed for hours.
She seemed not to notice.
He didn't buy anything; they never talked.
He became discouraged.
He retreated and sat down by the fountain.
He threw in a penny; his heart made a wish.
She suddenly appeared and sat close by.
He tried not to notice.
She asked him for the time.
He didn't wear a watch.
She asked someone else.

Four days later.
He peeked into the store.
She wasn't there.
He walked around and came back.
Still gone.
He sat by the ferns, raised his hands to his eyes.
Sun; couldn't see.
He felt a tap on his shoulder.
She was there.
Hand still to his eyes; she looked like an angel.
She handed him something.
He took it, fingers touched.
Sunglasses; the mirrored ones.
She smiled and gestured for him to put them on.
He shyly obeyed.
She took something out of her pocket.
Another pair; the purple ones!
He laughed.
She took his hand.
"I'm Bella."
"I know."
"I'm Edward."
"I know."
He looked surprised.
"Where have you been?" she asked.
Panicked; heart nearly bursting out of his chest.
"I've been here all along" he said.
Handshake turned into hand hold.
She smiled, then whispered,
"I know."
