I own none of the obvious.

"FINE JASON! FINE! I will make you a freaking birdhouse!" Shane yelled, finally reaching a breaking point to his friend's constant nagging.

Jason sat looking a bit stunned, but none-the-less smiling uncontrollably. "Yes!" He jumped up excitedly. "I have to tell Nate!"

"Dude, I'm right here." Nate turned from the across the room. "I think I heard him."

Jason looked at Shane and clapped his hands together excitedly.

"Okay, so where am I supposed to get stuff to make a birdhouse?" Shane asked, obviously annoyed and wanting to get this over with.

"Just a sec!" Jason sprinted from the cabin, leaving Shane and Nate staring at each other slightly confused. Jason returned two minutes later, his hand full. On the table he threw down several planks of wood, nails, a hammer, and a mini saw.

"Oookay, now how the heck am I supposed to get a birdhouse out of all this?" Shane stood, staring down at the pile Jason had created.

"Oh right!" Jason ran over to his dresser drawer and rummaged through it, flinging random things from each side until he finally found it.

"Got it!" Jason held up a crumpled piece of notebook paper with amateur sketches of what looked to be birdhouse on crack. "Instructions!"

"Jason, where did you get this?" Shane took the paper and looked it over.

"I drew them," Jason announced proudly.

"How am I supposed to…oh never mind." Shane groaned, settling down in front of the pile of wood and nails. Nate burst out laughing as Shane picked up a piece of the wood and just stared at it.

"You should…follow the…directions…Shane." Nate said through fits of laugher.

Jason sat across from Shane, on the other side of the pile and watched in anticipation.

Shane sighed loudly and picked up Jason's instructions. He took the piece of wood along with a nail and began to hammer them together.

Three hours, nine splinters, and three hammer jammed fingers later Shane held up an actually decent looking birdhouse.

"THANK YOU!" Jason shouted with joy, when Shane handed him the wooden house.

"Your welcome." Shane said flatly, walking off to nurse his injuries.

Jason went and sat his newly created and currently most prized possession on his bedside table. Suddenly he looked up, staring straight at Nate, who was holding his bottle of water in mid-drink. "What?" Nate looked at him curiously, and frankly a bit nervous as a huge grin spread across Jason's face.

"Can you paint my birdhouse?"

Nate just groaned and walked out of the cabin. Jason stood still for a few seconds before running after Nate. "Nate please paint it!"

"Later." Nate replied without much emphasis as they caught up with Shane.

"I love you guys soo much!" Jason exclaimed, tackling them both into a forced hug.

"Jason!" They both shouted, rolling their eyes.

It was supposed to be funnier and longer, but it kinda went a different way than how I thought it out. :-
