Author's Note: So this is my first fan fic hope you like it. I heard this song when I was going home one night, liked it and was inspired to write this.

It was a peaceful night, a pure blanket of snow was beginning to coat the ground as the proud father gently sang his daughter to sleep.
Hush my baby girl, don't you cry
Daddy's here beside you, to hold you close tonight
You're as sweet as a flower that blooms by day
Enhanced by the fragrance
Reminds me of you in a way
Go to sleep now baby girl,
Close your little eyes

He kissed the infant's brow, smoothing her fluff of emerald hair as her deep amethyst eyes drifted shut. His wife hovered over their bed, meditating as she watched him, a small smile gracing her delicate features. The father stroked their daughter's naturally pale green skin after placing Ruth in her crib.
Soon, small steady snores drifted from the crib, causing the changeling to grin in amusement as he made his way over to his wife, hugging her tenderly from behind. The woman's eyes glittered with playfulness as she fell back into him, engulfing the comforter in her powers, neatly covering them with it. The mother snuggled closer into the father's embrace, the faint smile never leaving her face.
There they lay, watching the snow fall outside, his sweet voice still echoing in her head until the welcoming presence of rest arrived.
