Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Wrong Road" from Season 2. Enjoy and please review.

Thomas's branch line is one of the most important routes on Sir Topham Hatt's railway, and so is Edward's.

However, the tracks on Thomas and Edward's lines are not strong enough as those on Gordon's Express line.

Because of this, Sir Topham Hatt doesn't allow the big engines to use the branch line.

However, one day, the way Gordon was talking... you would have thought Sir Topham Hatt would've given this order long ago.

"It's not fair!" grumbled Gordon.

"What isn't fair?" asked Edward.

"Letting branch line diesels pull main-line trains!"

"Nonsense Gordon! I'm sure BoCo would let you pull his freight cars sometimes."

Gordon was shocked when he heard this.

"I won't pull BoCo's dirty freight cars! I won't run on branch lines either!"

"Why not? It would be a nice change."

"Sir Topham Hatt would never allow that!" mumbled Gordon. "Branch lines are for little engines. NOT big engines like me!"

Gordon then crossly puffed away.

Edward laughed and followed him to the station.

Every night, Gordon and Edward both pull two fast trains from the station.

Gordon always leaves first with the Express train, while Edward leaves five-minutes later with a train that runs on the branch line.

Usually, everything runs smoothly, but tonight... there was trouble.

A lady in a green floppy hat was saying goodbye to a friend, and it was nearly time for the Express to leave.

The fireman looked back towards the conductor's van, and saw something green waving at them.

"I'll be right over!" shouted the fireman.

But Gordon thought the conductor had waved his flag.

Gordon started, leaving luggage, the passengers, and the conductor behind on the platform!

Everyone was very surprised and very cross.

"Stop, stop!" they shouted.

But it was too late.

When Gordon soon realized his mistake, he hurried back to the station.

By the time Gordon arrived back, Edward was running late as well.

This caused confusion and delay.

Edward set off, leaving Gordon behind.

However, what Edward didn't know, was that the switches were set to allow Gordon pass through, not Edward.

This resulted in Edward being sent down the main line, and Gordon being sent down the branch line.

Gordon arrived at the station by the harbor, feeling very cross.

The next morning, Bill and Ben came into the yard.

They had no freight cars, but they didn't mind.

Teasing Gordon would be fun instead.

"What's that?" asked Bill.

"It's Gordon, the big Express engine." said Ben.

"It looks like Gordon, but it can't be! Gordon never comes on the branch line! He thinks branch lines are stupid!"

Gordon pretended he didn't hear a thing.

"If it isn't Gordon." said Ben, "it's just a pile of old iron!"

"Which we should take to the scrapyards!"

"Or to the harbor, where we'll dump it in the sea!"

Gordon was horrified!

"I AM GORDON!" he shouted.

Then. BoCo arrived.

Gordon was glad to see him.

"Please save me!" exclaimed Gordon.

The twins knew that they didn't want to get in trouble, so they went to work at once.

This made Gordon pleased.

"How do you work with those two demons?" asked Gordon.

"Well, I try my hardest." said BoCo.

Gordon still thinks that BoCo saved him from being scrapped, but to me and you, Bill and Ben were just teasing him.
