Race had memorized the string of numbers the night they appeared. He had stayed up watching, waiting for them to show themselves, and when they did he had called and texted everyone he knew not caring if it was 2 o'clock in the morning, because god dammit he had a soulmate and he was so relieved.
The next day at school he had gone around proudly stating and displaying his soul mates code to anyone who would listen. The rational part of his brain was telling him that he shouldn't be boasting about the number, that some peoples just disappeared, or never showed up, but at the moment he was just to excited to take anyone else's feelings before his owns.
The joy only grew on his fist visit to the Agency of Soulmate Data or the AoSD for short. He had signed up to go on weekly trips with his school, which involved a crowded bus with rowdy teenagers, but it was better then nothing. When they had arrived he had been ushered towards a welcome desk where all new recipients had to go. The line was long and took more time then it should've, but it was worth it when it was his turn.
After giving the lady at the desk his information and the code, she handed him a sheet of paper. He quickly had thanked her and ran of to look at the paper.

Name: Sean Conlon
Gender: Male
Age:13
DoB: December 5, 2065
Race couldn't help the smile the graced his face as he looked at the paper. So his soulmate wasn't female, he couldn't care less, he was still his, Sean was still his, and that's the most he could ask for.
