Drizzle

It was the monthy family dinner for the Hudson-Hummels. The group were all sitting at their favourite restuarent, dining, telling stories, and just loving each other like a real family. Finn was eating a well made grilled cheese sandwich with a bit of tomato on top. He chewed it and was happy with how it had been made. He smiled as he took another bite.

He looked up as he heard the door to the building open, and watched an older dark haired woman walk in, carrying her child. She was accompinaed by a man who appeared to be her date. Finn went back to his food, not caring to examine the two any further. Kurt, however, glanced at the woman and recognized her.

"That woman! The coach from Vocal Adreniline!" he exclaimed. Carole and Burt looked over too, and Finn couldn't help but look up in surprise, not having recognized her hisself.

Burt slapped his son's back, and said "She may have won those finals, but we all know who won what meant something, right?" He smiled at Kurt, and Carole laughed.

Finn, however, was not thinking of their loss at regionals. He was more focused on Ms. Shelby. The baby she was holding...

"Well, I think we are all finished here." Burt annonced, and the family all nodded in agreement. Finn and his new father both got out of their seats. "Where you going Finn?" he asked.

"Bathroom," Finn said, but that was not his destination. When his father was paying, he snuck over closer to where Shelby was. He knew whose baby that was.

Shelby was playing with her daughter as Finn crossed her eyesight. She looked at him, and smiled. "I know you.. the boy from New Directions..." She said softly.

"Yes. My name is Finn Hudson. Your daughter..." he looked up at the happy baby, who was playing with Shelby's hair, "She's beautiful."

"Thank you. She is very beautiful indeed." She smiled as her baby giggled.

Finn could not help but stare. That baby was beautiful, just like the mother. Her eyes were turning that beautiful golden brown that Quinn's were... The child looked up at Finn, giggling, and holding out it's tiny hand. He put his finger toward her, and she latched on. He smiled so brightly it was as if he saw Quinn herself.

"Finn!" Burt called, "What are you doing?"

Finn grinned, and he looked at the child for a few more seconds, before yelling to his family and hurrying to meet them. The child of Quinn and Puck lay in Ms. Shelby's arms, laughing happily, as if she had just met her true father.
