In the year 1991 Lucas Walker was a high school senior that has two loves, motorcycles and green lantern comics. Every day after school her would ride over to Stanley's comics and picks up the latest comics. After he buys his comics he goes to the towns dinner and gets a shake and reads his favorite superheroes adventures. For hours he could read these comics. He would dream of being the great Hale Jordan.
After his outing he would settle down in his bed and finish some homework. And every night since he was a little boy he would have the same dream, a bald man calling to him in the name of someone called Entity. He awoke the next day and realized he over slept. He kissed his mom and ran out the door; Luke was a tall boy with white blonde hair and blue eyes, u could usually find him wearing a jean cut off vest and jeans.
He was in such a hurry that he didn't even grab his books. He flew down the street passing the comic store, passing the dinner, and as he turned to check his side view and a car flew down the street and hit the bike head on. All he could make out was the license plate; it read N10T. Then he blacked out.
He awoke two days lattern in the hospital bed only to find a balled man wearing a white ring on his finger. When their eyes met all Luke could see was death. The man got up and walked to his bed.
"Do u know who I am son". He knew who he was; he just couldn't believe that I could really b him. So all he say was
"Deadman"
The man smiled and nodded, he brought out a silver case and said that Entity has chosen him to become the next White lantern. Likes jaw dropped, he had dreamed of this day, but, he remembered that a white lantern had to die to become a ring bearer.
"But I thought u had to die for entity to choose his followers".
Deadman couldn't help but laugh." You did on the operating table, twice. And the ring glowed after your surgery, it chooses you. Ill train u if you're willing.
Lucas looked at the ring, his ring, made for him and him alone. He looked at the man before him and answered.
"yes"
