Gabrielles Question
She cast her eyes upon a purple sky
the light already dim and grey
the day still living,
but labeled now as PAST.
She had survived another day,
like that before,
and would tomorrow and again
and more…
But though a rest seemed close
she fears the demons that a nighttime rise
and haunting her with dreams,
that leave awake her – wide.
Will she survive another night?
