"Emma, I swear if you get that thing anywhere near me I will roast you in the backyard." Regina glared wearily at her lover as Emma came closer to her.
"Aww, but Gina it's just a little baby", Emma brought the object in her hands closer to Regina raising her hands towards her face, "just look at how cute it is, I'm going to call her Jared."
"Dear I have burned people for far less than this, I will say it one more time." Regina narrowed her eyes at Emma and sneered, "Get that dreadful creature away, now." Emma glanced at the little animal in her palms and frowned. Seeing her partners disheartened features Regina sighed, "Please Emma just put it outside?"
"It's just a lizard Regina it's cute, and I love her."
"You've only had her for three minutes, you cannot possibly be that attached to the thing already."
"Her name is Jared, and I don't know what you're talking about, it took me less time than that to realize I could care for you." Emma smiled softly at Regina, and then glanced back toward Jared.
Regina watched as Emma pet the awful little creature, and felt her lip twitch upwards, "You're too kind for your own good, Dear." She walked closer to Emma and looked into her hands, "You can keep her, but she must be in some kind of container, and you have to care for her." Emma turned toward Regina and leaned on her in an armless sort of hug, "Thank you."
Regina chuckled, "You're welcome, but really dear, comparing our relationship to your lizard that's a very weak last resort."
"It worked though didn't it?"
