Hi everyone. Hope you enjoy this story as you had enjoyed the last one. Thank you to lamsey2010 for helping me.
Hot, really hot. Agents and rescuers alike are in and around our pool trying to cool down or hide away from the hot sun.
Rain or shine we're all always ready to go. No matter how tough, no matter how grim. We'll keep on trying till the end.
We know the risks, we made our choice, to join or to quit.
Today we're here to celebrate International rescues birthday. We've been operational for six years. We had people sabotaging planes, trains, buses, even offices and malls endangering innocent people and children, just to get our equipment. We all work as a team we're all ready to give our lives for each other. Even to a stranger, it's what we do.
It's nice and warm outside. The sun had gone down, the stars had come out. What a beautiful night.
Everyone had found someone to chat and sit with some were still in the pool, playing games, splashing whoever comes past.
I've found a friend and we're now walking along the beach with only the stars and moon to guide us along.
Looking up at the sky I can't help but think about how many people we've saved, how many people might be walking along the beach with their loved one right now. If we weren't there it would have never even been possible for those people to be spending time with their families right now.
Even the darn white cat meowing at my feet wouldn't have been here if I haven't found it. Its white fur reflects the moon and his blue eyes the stars I love so much.
We're all sitting outside on the cool grass listening to the sounds of the night. Some are talking softly. Somewhere even the frogs are enjoying the warm night around a pond.
Someone has started to sing. I'm straining my ears to hear that person's voice. Wondering who it could be so soft and sweet, not a care in the world as to who might be listening.
I recognize the song, the words so true. Everyone around me had gone quiet and just as I wondered what was about to happen everyone joined in.
Linking each other's hands we all swayed to the left and right as we all sang. When everyone had gone to bed I went out on my balcony. I felt so happy and at peace with myself and the world. Picking up my white cat whom had come out to join me I softly sang as I held the little white fur ball close.
