He sat on the edge of the balcony, staring off into the darkness. The look on his face vacant. "Hey Roxas."
He looked up, made sure it was really me, then looked back down at the sprawling city.
I walked over to the edge of the marble ground, and sat beside him. Finally I could make out the details of his face. His blonde eyebrows were bent downward. Something was on his mind… something complicated.
"No." I said quietly. He couldn't really be contemplating it could he. He told me he was joking.
"What?" he asked, he looked like he had just come back from a place far away. Far away.
"You aren't leaving." I stated simply. I would never let him, no matter why he wanted to.
His blue eyes became stormy, angry. "That wasn't what I was thinking!" He snapped, turning away from me and glaring at nothing in particular.
"I won't let you," I told him, as if he hadn't just spoken.
He was silent for a moment, then whispered something under his breathe. "You can't stop me." Roxas stood up, still not facing me, and made a dark portal.
"So," I said, standing too,"This is really what you want?"
He spun around, his face looking hurt. "Axel… you, you don't understand." He looked down, he wasn't letting me see him cry. Roxas, face still downward said. " I don't have a choice, I have to."
I stepped toward him, he stepped back. I grabbed his chin, tilting his head upward to face mine. "No you don't."
For a few moments he just stood there, staring into my eyes, trying to find a reason to argue, but all ideas escaped him, I knew.
Finally, he pulled away from my grasp and walked into the darkness. "I'm sorry Axel."
