Rory was in the newspaper office handing out assignments to the staff one morning. She was just about to give Paris her article when her cell phone went off to "This is Why I'm Hot." Her eyes went wide and her cheeks turned bright red. She never left her phone on loud, it was always on silent. Her mom loved to play with the ring tones, but this was not her mother that set this one.
"Everyone take a break, I'll be right back." She quickly grabbed her phone and went out to talk in the hall. "LOGAN ELIAS HUNTZBERGER! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!" Laughter was heard on the other line.
"What'd I do?" He asked.
"When you came back for my birthday and you were messing with my phone, you changed your ring tone!" It was now December and she hadn't seen his since then.
"Oh Yea! Isn't that song perfect for me." She could see the smirk on his face.
"The whole newspaper staff heard it!"
"Well Ace, You should know better than that. Cell phones should be on silent when your working!" He joked.
"Ugh! So why'd you call?"
"Wow I can really feel the love!" He said sarcastically.
"Logan..."
"Guess who I got a call from today?"
"The Tooth Fairy!"
"My dad."
"That's always good, what did he say?" She asked knowing it probably wasn't good.
"He doesn't like what I did to HPG here!" Logan said joyfully.
"Um... That's good how?"
"Which means he has to come over here and fix it!"
"Still not getting it."
"So I will have to come and take over there!"
"Wait! Your moving to New York?"
"Nope...Stamford is where the paper is so I'll be back in New Haeven."
She screeched into the phone causeing pass byers to look.
"When are you coming back?"
"I should be home for dinner"
After that call, Rory finished up at the paper. After that she headed straight home so she could clean up the apartment. She walked in the door and frowned at the mess. She didn't care about it when he was gone but now she wished that she did.
"Alright..." She said walking over to the stereo and turning it on. The song "It Won't Be Long" started playing from the Across the Universe soundtrack. She started cleaning up as she mouthed the lyrics that fit her mood perfectly.
