"Now what's a pretty liddle thing like you doin' in a place like this?"
Larxene turned towards the source of the voice, an expression of mild amusement on her face. A large man – not fat, just large – sweaty, drunk, and arrogant, leered back at her. She glanced at the bar down the street that he must have come from, then back at him. She knew she should be angry at him for ogling her, but couldn't summon the necessary emotions. "Do you want me to answer you, or is that a rhetorical question?" she replied tartly.
"Oohoo, tryin' to scare me with yer big words, eh?" The drunk lurched towards Larxene until he stood mere feet away, towering over her. He grinned toothily down at her. "That's not goin' to impress me, missy," he rumbled, and he clumsily grabbed her ass with one meaty hand.
That definitely should have gotten Larxene angry. But it didn't. And she knew that the fact she didn't get angry should make her angry, but it didn't. And the fact that she wasn't angry over not getting angry about not getting angry should have made her angry...
It was an endless cycle, a paradox of emotion, and somehow in that void of non-feeling a shell of fury was made. It wasn't true anger – a Nobody can't have true feelings – but instead a hollow equivalent, a shadow. However, it was the closest Larxene would get, and she gladly latched on to it.
There was a flash of movement, and suddenly the drunk screamed and clutched his hand, staring in horror at the bloody stumps where his fingers used to be. Larxene held up her kunai and watched the blood run down the blade and onto her hand with perverse fascination. "You've made a very big mistake," she remarked casually, as if discussing the weather. "Fortunately for you, it's the last mistake you'll ever have to make."
"You bitch," the man snarled, his face twisted in pain and fury, spit flying from his lips. "You fucking bitch, you cunt, you – "
A bolt of lightning hit him square in the chest, sending him flying twenty feet before he hit the ground in a charred, lifeless heap. Larxene took a deep, calming breath and turned away from the quivering body, shaking her head in disbelief. Honestly, he got angry so easily.
