Snow day
17 year old Mitchie Torres Wakes up to her cell phone ringing at 5:54 In the morning. thinking it was Shane her boyfriend who was touring till the 23th of December she picks it up.
"The New Jersey community Schools are close today do to 12 inches of snow." Mitchie ends the call as she turns over going back to sleep for a few more hours.
"Take away, What's standing in front of me, Every breath, Every hour has come to this." Mitchie's phone is ringing again but this time it is Shane, Mitchie knows by the song. Mitchie smiles as she picks up. "Hey Babe." Mitchie says trying not to sound like she was asleep. "Hi Mitch, look out your window." "Ok, wait why? Mitchie asks getting up, "Just do it." Shane says as Mitchie gets to the window. "SHANE." she screams before pulling on shoes as she runs to the front door and jumps into his arms as he kisses her.
"What are you doing here? your not done touring for a few more days." Mitchie asks pulling back from the kiss. "Well a little bird told me you had a snow day and I had a day off so I'm here." Shane tells Mitchie as she pulls him inside the house.
"Why are you still in your Pjs? At 1?" Shane asks smiling down at her. "welll… I may have been asleep when you called." Mitchie answered looking like a kid who had took the last cookie out of the cookie jar. "Ok well why don't you get some real clothes on and I will make some food, then we can go play out in the snow?" "Sounds great Shane."
By the time Mitchie was done, Shane had made pancakes, Bacon, Biscuits and gravy, Eggs, Fruit, Yogurt, Orange juice and Milk. "Shane, you out-did yourself!" Mitchie says coming in to the room. "I can never out-do myself when It comes to you." Shane says kissing Mitchie on her forehead before sitting down at the table. They ate as they talked about touring, school, family and music.
After Shane and Mitchie got done they did the dishes together before getting ready to go outside and play.
Mitchie was making a snow angel when she felt a snowball in her face, She looks up to see Shane who had two more in his hands. "SNOWBALL FIGHT." He yells before running off. "Shane I will get you for that!" she screams running after him. Mitchie sees Shane hiding by a tree, She runs up to him and kisses Shane. Pulling back Shane says "Snowball fight over." as he moves in for another kiss. Mitchie moves away from him "Nooo… we are making a snowmen." She says as she takes his hat.
Two snowmen later, Shane and Mitchie are so cold they can't feel a thing as they walk into the house. Mitchie goes and makes hot chocolate as Shane puts a movie in.
As they lay there together Mitchie look up at Shane. "Shane, Thank you for coming here and making this the best snow day ever!" Shane smiles down at Mitchie and kisses her on her forehead.
They can't think of a way this can get better. The perfect day off and Snow day, making memories with ones they love.
