Moonlight. Perceived to be one of the most peaceful and tranquil enigmas the worlds had to offer, it could illuminate a lovers' night and lull the restless into a deep sleep. Its serenity was what made the night so beautiful and rare. There was only one who could not appreciate this beauty; for a painful and heartbreaking curse wracked his body, inescapable and inevitable. With every beauty came a beast. The beauty being the soft light of the moon, the beast being its wielder; The Luna Diviner.
When bathed in moonlight, his entire body drowned in rage. Every movement was one of fury, every cry was one of pain. Saix lifted his head and looked upon the moon shaped as what he desired most. Its gentle glow touched his ivory skin, and he closed his lucid eyes to savour what tranquillity he had left before the curse would take over - the calm before the storm. Anger started building. A small, intense pain in his very core, that soon crawled all the way throughout his body. Every muscle tensed, every thought perished under the sheer rage that infected his mind. Saix summoned his claymore to his hand, and completely succumbed to the curse of the Berserker.
Eyes of a scarlet red, he could not see beyond his own fury. The weapon hurtled him forward, wreaking chaos upon everything it touched. His shrieks echoed into the emptiness of Addled Impasse as he fought with nothing, verging on the brink of insanity. The sheer agony that tore through his body was too much. Saix crashed into walls and slammed himself onto the floor; anything to make the pain go away. He hated this with every inch of his body; great power was nothing, not when he suffered excruciatingly like this. Then, a deep voice rang through the emptiness.
"Saix." There was only one that would approach him in this condition.
"MOVE ASIDE!" he roared. Of all people, Saix did not wish to inflict any harm whatsoever on his beloved Superior, and yet this curse drove him onwards like a wild animal. The man did not move from his spot.
"You will not hurt me." Xemnas stated firmly. He took a step forward.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!" Saix cried out with every bit of consciousness he had left, trying not to hit him. The cursed claymore craved The Superior's pain and homed in on him.
Something strange happened. As the Berserker was just about to make impact, an invisible force would not allow him to even so much as touch Xemnas. It diminished his weapon, making it fade away into the midnight sky. Saix descended from the air, all pain and fury diminishing from his body like dying flames. The Luna Diviner fell onto his knees and into The Superior's arms, shaking violently from the aftermath of the curse. Xemnas caressed his soft, blue hair, and slowly moved his hand underneath Saix's chin, coaxing his head upwards. Amber met yellow and gazed at one another passionately.
"You see?" Xemnas breathed. "You did not hurt me."
"But... why?" Saix trembled as his Superior's touched glided upwards to his scar.
"Because you are mine, as I am yours. Not even the Berseker's curse can change this, nothing ever will."
The last words that left his lips soon melted into a loving kiss placed upon Saix's mark. He eased against the soothing touch, letting his limp body fall into his Xemnas' broad chest. Soon his well muscled arms were wrapped around the Diviner's waist, and Saix could feel his eyelids sinking. He allowed himself to be lost in The Superior's heavy yet empty aroma, and drifted slowly into a long awaited slumber. Xemnas' final words echoed into Saix's dreams.
"If I had a heart, this would be where I tell you that I love you."
