My eyes shifted underneath my heavy eyelids, and I felt like a thick mist was covering my whole body. I felt something beneath me, hard and small, like rocks. I twitched my arms, and immediately I feel a sharp pain flash through my whole body. I whimper in pain as sirens blare in the distance. As I breathe in shakily, I realize the air is thick with ash and dust. I hear moans and cries for help faintly, as the pull of unconsciousness became stronger. I fight for clarity, and my eyes finally open, albeit slightly fuzzy. I can see only stone and crushed metal support beams above me. I try to shift more, but each movement send me spiralling into so much pain that black spots dance across my already weak vision. I still myself and through the small holes in the rubble, I see flashes of red and blue lights. There are screams and I can smell the scent of blood in the thick air.

Can anyone relay their position?" A man yells from outside the rubble.

I don't know if my voice works but I have to try.

"Help me." My voice is dry and crackling, and much too weak to be heard.

I swallow some saliva which sends a burning sensation down my throat, but it moistens my vocal chords.

"Help!" I yell again, my voice still hoarse but loud enough to be heard.

"Where are you?" The man yells.

"Help me please!" I manage to get out before my eyelids begin to feel heavy again.

I hear shifting concrete and footfalls as more men come for me. I smile as I hear shouts of confirmation. My mind clouds and soon I cannot make sense of what is happening. It is dark and as hard as I try, I cannot open my eyes more than a few millimetres. My last memory is streaming light and men shouting about finding something. I do not think after that.

This is the first story I've uploaded in a while, but I won't continue unless I know people want this.
