Of spiders and governors
Authors notes: This fic had been floating around in my head for a while now. I hope you enjoy it;) as always, I own nothing.
(No POV)
It was huge. And hairy. And called Fred. "Who in their right mind would keep a pet acromantula?!" Draco yelled from his position on the table. "Pansy, apparently." Blaise Zabini said to his best friend. The spider, Fred, looked at them with all five hundred eyes.
The School governors were heading down to the Slytherin Common Room to see that it was satisfactory. Lucius Malfoy suddenly heard some shrill cries that sounded a lot like, "First years?!" He exclaimed. "Those cries are from first years!" He explained. The governors took off toward the common room at high speed.
"Kill it!" Draco screamed for what felt like the hundredth time that day. "No Draco. Pansy would kill me." Blaise yelled back. "Either way we die. See, if we don't kill the spider then the spider will kill us. But if we do kill it, Pansy will kill us. We die either way!" The two boys were trying to decide whether death by spider would be preferable to death by Pansy, when the School governors burst into the room...and caught sight of the giant acromantula. "Tell me that is a transfiguration." The minister of magic stated. "No. It's our friends pet and no matter what we do we die!" Draco said, in full panic mode now. "He grew over the summer!" Blaise cried. It was at this moment Pansy entered the common room. "Have any of you seen Fred?" She asked. "Wait." Draco said, dread pooling in his stomach. "That's not Fred?" He asked shakily. "What isn't...AAAGGGHHH!" Pansy screeched. "No not Fred." She said.
"What!" Draco and Blaise screamed and promptly lept behind the governors. "Father. Can you kill it?" Draco asked Lucius in a very small voice. "We will deal with it. You children go to class." He said.
The three Slytherins were walking down the corridor when something large and hairy sat in their path. "FRED!" Pansy cried happily. She turned to the boys but was met with air. Wimps. She thought, as she petted a purring Fred.
There we go, all done. This ended up so much longer than I originally thought it would be. Sorry if the characters are a little OOC. I just prefer them this way. I am a huge supporter of Good Lucius. I think that he would only be nice to other Slytherins. You know the drill, please drop me review and if you want me to do a particular story, just give me a prompt.
