SEARCHING FOR A FRIEND

Takes place during the scene where Cleo had run away in "Sea Changes" after Lewis confronted Charlotte cause I wanted to get Zane involved and this was what I came up with. H20: Just Add Water belongs to Jonathan M. Schiff, , and everyone else involved with the show. I only own this idea.

Zane blew out a worried breath as he perused the ocean. Where could she be? he wondered. And yes, he was well aware of how ironic it was that he was out searching for her when he used to bully her, but in the time that he had gotten to know her, he had grown to care about her. Can't believe I used to be such a jerk to her, he thought to himself. Okay, he had to focus. That was in the past. Right now, they had to find her. But where could he look? According to Emma and Rikki, she hadn't been in the moon pool or anywhere on Mako. If she wasn't there, where would she go? A shrill ring pierced the air and he jumped before he realized it was his phone. He picked it up and pressed the "talk" button.

"Hello?" he queried.

"Zane, it's Lewis. I need your help," he heard a voice say.

"What's up?" he wondered.

"I think I know where Cleo is but I don't have enough fuel to get there," Lewis told him.

"I'll come to you. Where are you?" Zane responded and the other boy went there, his eyes clouded as the blonde-haired boy entered the boat. "Okay, where do you think she is?" he queried and the other boy told him. Without waiting for anything further, Zane headed to the location and then waited. So worried. Why would Cleo run away? It's not like her, he thought to himself. Okay, so he didn't know her as well Lewis did, obviously, but he knew that she wouldn't run off for no good reason, which meant that something had happened, but what? They had to figure out what had happened, and then take care of it. His musing was cut off when he spotted his friend who quickly climbed aboard the boat. At Lewis' instructions, he went to a part of Mako Island, watching as the other boy dived into the ocean. Hopefully, Cleo was okay…
