"Toby! Come here, boy! Tooooooooby! Come on, boy, you're scaring me!" Sharpay called her dog's name over and over, but she still didn't hear the jingle of the name tags around her golden retriever's neck.

Jus then, Zeke pulled up in his car and practically ran over to Sharpay. "No luck?" he asked her.

"Nothing." Sharpay started to cry. "I'm so scared. What if he never comes back?"

"No, it'll be fine. I'll keep looking." Zeke kissed her and went back to his car. As he drove away, he stuck his head out the window. "I'll find him, Sharpay!"

Sharpay ran through her house one more time, but Toby was nowhere in sight. Her mom and dad came back from the neighbors' house.

"Honey, no one's seen Toby." Her mom told her.

"It's going to be dark soon, Sharpay."

"Dad, I'm not gonna stop looking for him!"

"Sharpay, he's probably just going for a walk or something, he'll be back tomorrow I bet."

"Mom, I'm not stopping!"

"…Alright, but you're not staying out there all night, Sharpay."

Sharpay went to the local park to check the playground, where she and Toby go sometimes. When he wasn't there, she checked the woods and the soccer fields. Toby was nowhere in sight. By then it was completely dark. She ran home and got her bike and a flashlight. She circled her block, but still didn't find anything. She went home and called Zeke.

Ring…ring..

"Come on, Zeke, please pick up." Sharpay said with tears.

Ring…ring..

"Zeke, I need you to pick up!"

Ring…ring..

"Please?!"

Ring…ring..

"Hi, this is Zeke, please leave a message at the beep!"

Sharpay hung up the phone and got into bed. After about an hour of crying, she finally fell asleep. She woke up to a loud knock. She sadly walked to the door and opened it to see an exhausted Zeke, holding Toby.

"TOBY! My boy!" Sharpay got on her knees and hugged him so hard that he whined. "Don't you ever scare me again, boy. UGH I love you so much!" she stood up and looked at Zeke with tears of happiness in her eyes. "Where was he?"

"Oh, he was over by the railroad."

"On the other side of town?"

"Yeah, I guess he's pretty tired." Zeke said, rubbing Toby's head and smiling.

"How long ago did you find him? Wait…how long have you been looking for him?" Sharpay asked.

Zeke smiled again. "I haven't been home. I…I knew how much you love Toby, so I promised myself I'd find him."

"Oh, my God! That was so sweet, Zeke!"

Zeke looked down and blushed.

Sharpay walked over to him and hugged him. "Toby is my best dog, and he means so much to me, but what you just did meant so much more. I love you so much."

"I love you, too, Sharpay."
