"Going somewhere, Luka?"
Luka jumped,"Oh..Uh... Hi Kaito!"
She ran and tackled him into a hug, both falling to the ground.
"Well someone is happy to see me!" Kaito said giving Luka a full smile.
That smile always gave Luka a safe feeling. His smile could melt the ice cream that he loved so much.
'But that isn't the only thing it melts'
"So, Luka, I do believe I promised you that we would go out for ice cream,"
"Noo I think that you are saying that because YOU are wanting ice cream,"Luka smiled at his 'caught in headlights' look.
Kaito gave a sheepish grin and lifted his hands,"Okay, I'm guilty, I really do want some ice cream."
"Well let's go,"Luka walked ahead of him.
"Luka! Wait up! I have something to ask you before we go!"
Luka froze,"What?"
"How do you feel about me?"
'Ah shit'... "Well I... Eto... I actually like you. I have for awhile."
"Ah, well that's good. You won't mind being my girlfriend then," Kaito gave her a playful shove.
Luka shoved him back,"Are you asking or demanding?"
"I don't know whichever one you will answer to,"
"Well then, since you asked oh so politely, I would love to be your girlfriend."
They walked hand-in-hand to 'their' favorite ice cream parlor. When they got their Kaito was in a trance-like state trying to decide what he wanted. Luka had already ordered so she was looking around the room to see who was there. Kaito finally started ordering his ice cream when trouble approached. Gakupo apparently decided that he was going to stalk her today. He was obsessed with Luka and wouldn't like it that her and Kaito were together.
"Hey, Luka. Aren't you looking nice today?" Gakupo tried to pull Luka close to him.
Luka cringed away,"Get away from me, Gakupo. I don't want anything to do with you!"
"Quit playing hard to get! Why don't you just admit your feelings and go out with me!"
Kaito finally stepped in,"Back off, Kamui. Luka is already spoken for."
"By who? You? Bahahaha! That is ridiculous!"
Kaito didn't wait, he punched Gakupo in the nose. Then to get through to him that Luka was his, he grabbed her hand and pulled her into a kiss.
"Get lost!"
Gakupo ran out the door. Kaito turned to a stunned Luka.
Luka looked at him quizzically,"You know, I didn't think that you would actually punch him."
Kaito smiled, again giving her a quick kiss,"Well, my love, if someone threatens you I am willing to protect you."
She gave him a hug. He really was a prince.
"You really act like a prince sometimes."
"Only for you, my princess."
