''I'm starving!'' Thumbskull muttered. He saw Acid Breath and Frightwig while they stood by Zombozo in a tent. He tilted his head to one side in confusion after they frowned at him.
''You're always starving, Thumbskull,'' Frightwig said. She glanced at Zombozo.
''You three can wander for one hour. Return after one hour. That's when our circus act will start. Don't let the cops arrest you,'' Zombozo said to the trio. He saw what was left of Acid Breath's grin. The latter's remaining teeth never bothered him. ''Why are you grinning?''
''Cops won't arrest us,'' Acid Breath said. He drooled before acid contacted the ground.
Zombozo's eyes widened at the sight of acid burning a hole in the ground. ''Mm hm. Remember what I said. Return here after one hour,''
he said to the Circus Freaks. He watched as the trio exchanged glances.
''Let's rob banks,'' Acid Breath said to Frightwig and Thumbskull. He turned to Zombozo. ''I'm curious. What's going to happen if we are late?''
Zombozo grinned at the Circus Freaks. ''You don't want to know,'' he muttered. He enjoyed viewing their wide eyes.
''I'm starving!'' Thumbskull said. He saw Frightwig's scowl.
''You already said that, Thumbskull,'' Frightwig muttered. She still scowled. ''You're always distracted when it comes to food. You will dawdle and cause us to be late.''
Thumbskull frowned before he followed his companions out of the tent.
Zombozo saw a mirror. He focused on his reflection for what seemed like hours. Scowling, he glanced at the doorway.
*One hour passed. The Circus Freaks should be here.* He began to tremble with rage.
Zombozo continued to scowl after Acid Breath appeared with Thumbskull. ''I can't wait to hear the reason why you're late,'' he said in a sarcastic tone. He saw Frightwig as she arrived. His eyes became wide another time.
''We attacked the cops and ran from them,'' Thumbskull said to Zombozo.
''The cops never followed us,'' Acid Breath said.
''Cops are why we're late,'' Frightwig said to Zombozo. She hopped, since her hair was tied around her body.
