''Corpses won't be able to defeat me. Attack Helen and Manny, my pets!'' D'Void said to Null Guardians. He grinned while they approached Manny and Helen in the Null Void.
''I already conquered the Null Void,'' D'Void muttered. He gasped after a baby Null Guardian appeared. He frowned at her. ''What are you doing here?'' he asked.
The creature screeched.
''You're interested in protecting me?'' D'Void asked. A smile formed on his face for a second. That was when his frown came back. ''You should be in my citadel. You aren't safe here at all. Lasers from my enemies' weapons might harm you,'' D'Void said.
The infant continued to fly near D'Void.
''I am going to kill all of your companions after my pets end your lives. I will locate Pierce,'' D'Void informed Helen and Manny.
Helen gasped before she focused on D'Void. She scowled. ''You are not going to kill Pierce.''
Manny began to aim three weapons at D'Void and the Null Guardians. Multiple lasers emerged from the weapons.
D'Void cried out after three lasers contacted his shoulders and arms. *I have to find shelter as soon as possible. I'm not safe here.
My enemies will kill me* he thought. D'Void glanced at the young Null Guardian. ''Return to the citadel.''
D'Void ran. He found himself near Pierce and the latter's home. He saw the latter's wide eyes. D'Void imitated Pierce.
''Why are you here, D'Void?'' Pierce asked.
''My enemies attacked me,'' D'Void said after he frowned. He watched as one of Pierce's eyebrows went up. ''Manny and Helen probably harmed my baby.'' D'Void gasped as his eyes became bigger.
''Why should I believe you, D'Void? I never saw you with a baby Null Guardian.''
Pierce and D'Void gasped after Helen appeared with Manny. D'Void's eyes settled on the baby Null Guardian as it struggled in Helen's arms.
''You were correct about the baby Null Guardian, D'Void?'' Pierce muttered.
''I embraced the baby after Manny and I ran from adult Null Guardians,'' Helen informed Pierce.
''You protected my baby?'' D'Void asked while he focused on Helen.
''Mm hm,'' Helen said as she smiled and nodded.
''I'm aware of D'Void's wounds, Pierce. Are you going to allow him to remain with us until he is healed?'' Manny muttered.
Pierce seemed thoughtful. He viewed the infant flying into her father's arms. He saw D'Void's smile.
D'Void and the Null Guardian found themselves in a cell. He continued to embrace his baby. At least he was with the creature he cherished.
At least the injured D'Void found shelter.
