Beyond the treaty line (Paul one-shot)
I do not own Twilight in any way. Inspired by Just around the river bend from Pocahontas.
I was 7 when I first journeyed out to the treaty line. I snuck out of the house, completely aware of the fact that my father was patrolling down near the beach. I ran as fast as my little legs could take me.
*Evangeline's Pov*
I looked around.
Lakota was gone.
"Lakota?" I yelled. I searched all the rooms.
Oh no. Had a vampire snuck in and stolen her?
I ran to Emily's, where Jacob's pack was.
"She's gone! Lakota's gone!" I cried.
Jacob jumped up and held me to him.
"Seth, Quil", Jacob said, "Tell Paul".
They both nodded.
*Paul's Pov*
"Paul…Lakota's gone", Seth said.
I stopped. My only child was gone? I threw my head back and howled.
Lakota didn't answer.
"Jared, Collin, Brady. Search East", Sam said, "Quil, Seth, you're with me".
"What about me?" I asked.
"You go North. Near the treaty line", Sam said.
That was it!
She was at the treaty line.
I ran there as fast as my paws could take me.
*Lakota's Pov*
A silver wolf came out of the woods.
"Daddy!" I yelled.
He phased back and took me in his arms. "Oh Poca", he sighed, "I was so worried".
"I'm sorry daddy", I said.
The rest of the guys came out of the trees.
"Don't ever do that again Kota", daddy said.
"I won't", I said. I buried my head in his flaming neck.
Sam phased back and said, "Clearly, your loyalties lie with your wife and child".
Daddy put me down and I ran to Sam.
I hugged his legs and said, "I love you Sammy".
"I love you too Poca. Just take Seth with you next time you want to explore", he said.
"I will", I said.
Paul's nickname for Lakota comes from Pocahontas (Poca).
