HI everyone. I am SO SO sorry that I haven't published anything in a really long time. First my account was having a hard time, then I had the worst writers block I've ever had. School fit somewhere into the mix, so I didn't have a ton of time. Anyways, I'm sick now, so I decided to start a new fic. Also, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who has reviewed/followed/favourited my other story. It make me so happy when I see that you like it.

Just a bit of back round: This story is going to follow Magnus and Alec's daughter as she goes through life. I have a rough outline, but if there is something you want to see that does not come up, tell me. Now, for the story...

Chapter 1: In which the baby cries, and Magnus makes noise

"Magnus!" Alec yelled up the stairs.

"What?"

"She's crying, again. Should I rock her?"

"Um… yeah. Yeah, try that."

Alec returned to the living room of their apartment, and attempted to calm his daughter. The small red faced, red haired girl was lying in her bassinet, waving her little clenched fists in the air. He bent over the small pod, and gently rocked it back and forth while talking softly. Slowly her tears subsided and she closed her eyes. Then there was a clatter, and Magnus came running down the stairs. The baby's eyes sprang open again, and she started crying.

"Magnus," Alec rolled his eyes. "I almost had her down. Now is not a good time."

"Sorry," Magnus said as Alec began to rock the cradle again.

"S'okay."

The baby was finally asleep, and Alec turned to Magnus. "Movie?" He asked.

"Sure," Magnus said with a shrug. They went down into the basement and put on a film, enjoying the time they got to themselves as their daughter slept.

Sorry it's short. I have more coming.
