"What do you think she is?"
"I'm not sure, seems to be only a mortal, but her manner of dress is very odd." Ryan could her voices around her, but she couldn't open her eyes too see who they where.
"I say we leave her, she could only bring us trouble." Confusion clouded her thoughts; the last thing she remembered was watching some sappy lifetime movie at her apartment that certainly didn't involve strange voices that sounded like men, moving around her. She tried to open her eyes and could feel her lids flutter, then shut back in denial.
"She's only a girl. Who knows what could come of her out in these woods. We can not leave her here."
Ryan wanted to be able to say something anything to these men, take anything they wanted from her apartment, although there wasn't much there worth taking, just leave her be. And what was this she heard about woods? Now, she knew her apartment was a god awful mess but it certainly didn't qualify as some dangerous wood.
She tried again to open her eyes, and this time they complied, but her vision was too cloudy to clearly see anything at all. She blinked a few times quickly, some of the cloudiness fading to reveal the outline of a tall man who, noticing her awareness, knelt down next to her and placed a cool hand to her forehead, whispering something Ryan couldn't make out. Slowly darkness started to creep back in too her mind, her eyes fluttering closed again.
"We will take her to the house of Elrond, with us," was the last thing she heard before she fell unconscious again.
