Sorry for the wait. Life's been life. -\_(e~e)_/- PainInSilence you're going to think of me as an even bigger a-hole after reading this

Disclaimer: People still do these?

When Robin opened his eyes, a bright light flooded his vision and momentarily blinded him as an immense pain pierced the inside of his skull, making him hiss in response. Robin tried to bring his arms up from his sides to shield his face from the menacing light but found that he couldn't. He tried to bring a foot up to kick at the light but both legs were bound to the medical bed he was on. He cursed silently. Of course he was trapped. Batman would have his head for this.

Robin fumbled with picking the locks on his wrists but gave up five minutes later. With his vision swimming and a sharp pain making it impossible to concentrate on anything, he was unable to free himself. He sighed. Batman really would have his head for this. Trying to distract himself from not being able to do much, he looked around as best as he could with the, now, dimmed light shining above his head. At most he could make out a silhouette of a doorway and what he assumed to be a metal tray table.

The only sound other than his ragged breathing, he tried to calm himself but to no avail, was the beeping of a machine near by. Robin couldn't tell what kind it was, though. Other than that, it was eerily quiet. He didn't know what kind of sounds he expected, but it certainly wasn't silence. It unnerved him.

Minutes passed as he waited in silence for any other sound. What of, he wasn't sure. Maybe the tiniest hint of a rescue party? Did anyone even know where he was? Hell, even he didn't know. Perhaps just for another sign of life. He wasn't so sure he wanted that one to be true.

Robin nearly jumped out of his skin when he was pulled from thought as he heard the slight echo of shoes clicking on the, what he assumed to be, concrete floor. The sound became louder and louder as it neared the door. Robin, unknowingly, held his breath in anticipation as he waited for what would happen. As soon as they had appeared the footsteps disappeared and he let out a long winded sigh. At least he knew he wasn't alone wherever he was. Somehow, that wasn't as reassuring as it should've been.

The clicking of shoes on concrete was muffled by the sound of people mumbling about who knows what. The sound of doors swinging open and the shuffling and mumbling of multiple people caught his attention. Robin squinted his eyes in hopes to see what was happening but he couldn't make anything out. It wasn't until a needle was shoved into his arm that he realized what was happening. By then it was too late.

It took a few minutes for the anaesthesia to take affect. What once were sensible questions Robin asked the person turned into gibberish that soon died in his throat as darkness started to envelope his vision.

The last thing Robin remembered before he blacked out was a man in surgical attire approach him.

I'm ending it here for now. Seriously though, sorry for the wait. I know it's short but it's something. Updating will be odd until I figure things out, so bear with me here. Btw, in case you were wondering, Robin was injected with General Anaesthesia.
